Bridget McGinnis, EIT # 175131 | Assistant Engineer - City of West Sacramento.

Bridget is a graduate of University of Portland, who interned with the City in the summer of 2018 while finishing her B.S.C.E.. She is now a full-time City employee since 2021 and serves as an Assistant Engineer within the Capital Project Department. She has been directly involved with various underground utility projects from the planning through construction stage.

Since 2022, Bridget’s focus has been the Linden Acres Water Main Replacement and Water Meter Replacement Project. She lead the Project’s public outreach campaign working closely with the residents, contractor, and various utilities within the Project Area. She was responsible for addressing resident concerns, preparing general City responses and updates, and assisted in evaluating potential and contract change order negotiations. In 2023, Bridget accepted the 2023 APWA – Sacramento Chapter Project of the Year for Environmental – Water Division, $2-$20 Million Division on the City’s behalf.

Bridget is active in her APWA Young Professionals (YP) association and currently serves as the APWA YP Networking Committee Chair.
