My name is May Kyi and I have been in the Wastewater Collection and Treatment industry for approximately 18 years in 2023. I am currently working for Orange County Sanitation District (OC San), located in Orange County California, as a senior engineer, leading wastewater treatment design projects.
OC San supports our efforts to be good leaders, and comprehensible communicators in the wastewater industry.
I feel lucky to be a lead design engineer, working closely with Operations and Maintenance staff and being accessible to large-scale Wastewater Treatement Processes. I am currently working on Digester Gas Compressors Replacement project, Activated Sludge & Secondary Clarifiers Rehabilitation project, and Super Critical Water Oxidation Research project. I also play a process advisor role in projects that involve gas treatement and odor control at OC San. When I am not working on engineering projects, I am always seeking ways to test and refine my communication and interpersonal skills.
